Some animals would be best served by shelter admission, while others would be better served outside shelter walls. The Right Place is the place that provides the best possible outcome in the most humane and efficient way and may include the animal’s current home, community, foster or finder’s home, partner organizations or the shelter. Determining the Right Place depends on the needs of the animal, the capacity of the shelter, and also the capacity and willingness of the community member who brings the animal to our attention. In this webinar, Drs. Cindy Karsten and Chumkee Aziz will guide you through the framework that allows you to remove decision fatigue and get animals where they need to be—or help them right where they are. The four “Right” webinars were presented as a series, “The Future Is Four: The Right Care in the Right Place at the Right Time to the Right Outcome.”
